Welcome to my website.  This website is designed to provide you with the most current divorce law information.  You have likely found your way to this site because you are either contemplating a divorce, or in the middle of the process. A divorce is obviously a little unsettling and can provide for a fair amount of anxiety and stress.  I have prepared this site to relieve some of the angst while you go through the process.  This site should provide you with the information that you likely need to make informed decisions in choosing an attorney and related to your divorce.

While each case is different, many divorced spouses will tell you how disenchanted they are with the divorce system and the manner it handles a family and its issues.  An "assembly line process" accurately describes how divorces are handled in our courts, and very little attention is placed on the emotional complexities of someone's life.  To add insult to injury, divorce lawyer's fees generally plague the system. Very few people know how to move their case to settlement without incurring tens of thousands of dollars in fees.  It doesn't have to be this way. 

Everyone has heard of the "bloodbath" divorce or simply a case that took too long and cost too much money.  This all to common result can be avoided, and you can get the results you want in the process. So, if you are a parent wanting custody of your children, or simply want what you consider a "fair" result, these results are not fantasies, but surely can be reality with the right kind of lawyer and right kind of approach.  Looking around (online) for a lawyer is usually everyone's first step.  Not a bad idea.  However, be careful and conduct your research.  Selecting a lawyer shouldn't be knee-jerk or something with the assumption that any divorce or custody lawyer will do.
